Hunsaker Reunion

1st... sometimes I feel bad going on and on about the wonderful times we have but we did have a great reunion.... there were many, many crying fits, tantrums, time outs, fights, etc.... but, I am choosing to only remember the fun times and memories - I have that right as a mom .... right - it will be my kids that remember the others - so here goes a rambling of our 'perfect reunion' (also, I have caught up with about a months posts after this one... remember I am trying to block out the imperfect times and remember the good :) )

We started our summer trip at Scott's parents house. We had a great time at their local water park one day and the next tubing on the lake. Scott drove like a maniac trying to get the kids and I off of the tube - it was a ton of fun. The water was perfect and we had a super time spending time at their house - the kids are looking forward to our next visit. Next, we were off to Scott's sister Kimberly and her families home in Portland, Oregon. We hung out here for a few days eating great food, going to church, and listening to some great pioneer stories. Monday morning the boys and dads went to the Air and Space Museum and loved every second of it - my boys wanted to stop on the way back out of town to see it again. The girls spent time at the outlet malls (Monday) and met up later in Lincoln City, Oregon where we (mostly Scott's parents - thanks so much) rented the most amazing beach house - if you ever need to rent one you should check this out: http://www.seahavenrentals.com/html/spinnaker_run_.html

It was pretty cold when we arrived so after going briefly to the beach we hung out inside. The next morning Scott took Reese, Davis and Meili on a two hour walk down the beach. They found the most incredible area that had hundreds of starfish. Luckily, for me (although I would have loved to be on the beach with the others) Lili and Kenzie slept in and so I was able to veg and hang out in our beautiful bedroom and watch the end of "Pride and Prejudice".... ahhhh....

We did a bit of shopping and drove down the coast to play on a few different beaches and back to the house for a yummy pizza party.

The next morning I took Meili, Mckenzie and Reese and we went to explore the starfish - they were absolutely incredible!!! We packed up and cleaned up the house and headed north (after eating a yummy, yummy lunch at Mo's) to Cape Kiwanda (sp?) where we rented the cutest little bunkhouse for the night. We spent the afternoon at the beach playing in the water, (Lili hung out in the chair - she loved it!), and climbing the huge sand dune (well... Scott did - I watched :) ) After spending the day at the beach we went to pizza, swimming in the pool and eating smores around the campfire.

The next morning we made the fun drive home. Friday, Greg and Kristi and their kids came to play and to go to the temple open house (wow!!! - everyone should come see it!) They went home and Scott's parents stopped in to stay the night on their way to Bear Lake. Yesterday we went to visit Scott's sweet grandma's house and then today we went to his nephew's mission farewell. We are home now for a while....yeah!!! It has been a great few weeks but we are all looking forward to getting back to some sort of routine - I need the tantrums to stop :)

lots of run on sentances, and lots of rambling - maybe i'll go back later and fix.
